Academics and Curriculum
Preschool:
Each child is considered to be uniquely gifted by God. Our traditional classrooms are limited to small class sizes so that individual attention can be given to each student. Our teaching style allows us to address the individual needs of our children. Opportunities are provided that enable the children to learn through active play, both structured and unstructured, and through teacher-guided exploration. The pre-school program is designed to address childrens’ social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, creative and physical development. The children are introduced to routines and social rules that help them be successful in life and at school.
We use The Creative Curriculum for Preschool. The basic philosophy is that children learn best by doing. Children explore the world around them by using all of their senses: touching, tasting, listening, smelling and seeing.
Elementary:
We have Bible curriculum in all grades with a focus on Christian character and Christianity as a lifestyle.
Our State Certified teachers teach:
· Phonic-based language arts program in early elementary.
· Saxon Math in all grades.
· Curriculum from Bob Jones, ACSI, Open Court, CSI, Harcourt Brace,
and A Beka.
There are Enrichment Classes such as Art, Music, Band, P.E. and Library.
